About Me

An avid people & pet photographer, this blog is an easier way to share stories and photos with family and friends that are scattered across the globe. I'm a blonde who finally went back to her natural color after years of being a redhead. I'm in love with photography, reading, movies, live music, history and my Italian Greyhound Dante. Born in Norway, I've been living in SoCal since I was five. {Photo by Nancy Orozco}

Random Funnies

I loves me some good laughs, and Thor knows there are some days you really need a good one! Luckily there's plenty of places around teh interwebs that offer consistently funny content. Some are more well known, like Epic Win, FAIL Blog and Texts From Last Night (TFLN) which I subscribe to (I use Google Reader) and check whenever the needs arises. But there's others that aren't as well known that I just had to share.

Like It Made My Day, for example. People just send in whatever it was that made their day. Some are so awesome, you think they must be made up - but even if half of them are, I still love them! It never fails to make me smile. This recent one made me laugh so hard tears came to my eyes:

I went to a roller derby bout the other night, with the theme “Star Wars”, and some of the local Star Wars fans were there in costume, including several Storm Troopers. I was sitting at the end of one row, when one of the Storm Troopers came and stood beside me, watching the action. I turned to him, waved my hand, and said “These are not the roller girls you are looking for.” He nodded and walked away.

There's also Jorge Garcia's blog, Dispatches From the Island. You might also know him as Hurley from the show Lost. His dry sense of wit cracks me up! Like his most recent post about rapeseed oil (nope, that's not a typo!).

And for my fellow photogs, What the Duck, and his trials and tribulations in the biz, is always awesome.

And because I hate photo-less blogs, here's the most awesome cookie ever that my mom's coworkers gave her yesterday:

What about you? Where do you go when you need a relaxing moment of laughter? Had any moments that should be submitted to IMMD?

P.S. Speaking of laughing, if you want to ridicule my silly comments about the recent photo walk, check out this video from Faded & Blurred. :)
