Goodbye March, We Hardly Knew Ye
Friday, March 26, 2010 at 07:14PM I CANNOT believe it's almost April. Sure, the weather makes it feel like spring, but where has the first quarter of the year gone??
My week started off bumpy, since I had to go home from work on Monday with a horrendous puking migraine. Haven't had one like that in a while, so I guess I should be grateful, plus the next day I woke up feeling really great (and usually you feel like you kinda-sorta still have one, but not enough to justify using a sick day). Mom had the genius idea of making chocolate shakes Monday night - I think that did the trick!

It's also been really nice going for walks before the sun goes down, can't get enough of the yummy light!

I had to do jury duty on Wednesday, but luckily I never got called, and I'm super thankful that my company didn't make me use a vacation day for it! That made sitting around with crap TV on all day juuuust about bearable (the iPhone helped, too).
This week also marked the start of the spring semester at Tri-Community Photography, which I finally signed up for. You can only learn so much by blog reading and practice, right? It's such a killer deal to go there that it's hard to find excuses. I attended Frank's class on Wednesday night (one of the guys who leads the Faded and Blurred group) and will be doing a Saturday morning class too. It's already stirring the creative juices!
After my Saturday morning class this weekend, Mindy and I will be heading up to Vasquez Rocks for an "unofficial" photo walk/day trip with some of the F&B crew. (Come and join us! Details are here.) I've never been there before so I'm really looking forward to exploring! Then Sunday I think it's about time I finished up my taxes...considering it's almost April already.
What do y'all have planned? Anything fun?
P.S. The concert last night was EPIC. Nikki and I decided that it has topped our list of best concerts we've been to, by far. The Avalon is a super nice venue (albeit ridiculously dark), and Jamie played for nearly two hours. The opener, Imelda May, kicked ass too! Couldn't have asked for a better night. :) I didn't want to be one of those douches holding up my phone to take video all night (grrrr), so here's a quick shot of the stage:
