About Me

An avid people & pet photographer, this blog is an easier way to share stories and photos with family and friends that are scattered across the globe. I'm a blonde who finally went back to her natural color after years of being a redhead. I'm in love with photography, reading, movies, live music, history and my Italian Greyhound Dante. Born in Norway, I've been living in SoCal since I was five. {Photo by Nancy Orozco}

Rest Peacefully, Farmor

This past Saturday morning, my farmor (father's mother in Norwegian) passed away peacefully in her sleep. My dad had flown to Norway two weeks ago because she was doing poorly, and we're all so grateful that he was able to do so.

She was a wonderful spitfire of a woman who was married for sixty-one years, raised four amazing children and lived to enjoy the company of eight great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

We're just happy to know she's at peace now.

Sorry to hear, but glad your dad got to be by her side. Let me know if you and the family need anything, like a pot of hot yummy comfort.

Un abrazo

HUGS FOR EVERYONE IN THE ELLINGSEN CLAN. I am so happy your dad got to visit and be with her as she peacefully went to heaven. She will always be with you in the most important place, your heart. Please let me know if there is anything you need...even if it's a tissue!!!

LOVE YOU!
