Happy Friday!

Happy Friday, friends! I am really looking forward to this weekend, the week has just flown by. Super excited for our plans - I'm taking Mr. Same Same day trippin' tomorrow (destination must remain secret for now), and Sunday night we'll be watching the Golden Globes. I found this super cute ballot you can download and print for free. Not sure what the prize will be yet, but I'm sure there will be some stiff competition happening for us! :) I also found this handy article on how to watch them if you don't have cable (or live outside the country).
In between those events we plan on catching up on sleep and the best picture nominees that we haven't seen yet. Which one is your money on? I haven't even seen it yet but I'm going with The King's Speech because I love Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, plus any historical film is good in my books.
In other news, I've decided not to pursue Project 365 this year. I committed to it all through 2009 and 2010 (and I'm currently putting together a Blurb book for 2010's photos) but when I found myself dreading sitting in front of the computer again just to upload the day's photo, I knew it was time to let it go. The project pushed me to do and learn amazing things and I wouldn't be the photographer I am today without it, but with everything I'm trying to accomplish this year something had to give!
Also this week, I really started using the app RunKeeper to keep track of my daily walks with Dante. It's free all this month and has a lot of amazing features - mom and I highly recommend it! It uses GPS to track your route, your pace, distance, calories burned, etc. and can sync with whatever playlist you want, or you can choose to have it motivate you. So fun! And when you start you choose what kind of activity you're doing, so it can be used when you bike, run, walk, whatever.
So what are your new discoveries this week? Anything fun planned for the weekend?
xo
P.S. Because I can't even conceive of a photo-free post, the above was taken last Friday with my new favorite (and free!) photo app, Instagram.
P.P.S. Check out our forecast for the weekend. Neener, neener, neener!
golden globes,

Want to make a list of the movies I'd like to see - mostly 2011, but a lot from 2010 too - definitely want to see The King's Speech - love Colin Firth!
That is a beautiful photo!
I think it is great that you are letting go of something that is not serving you right now. The fact that you committed to it for so long is amazing!
